Entre Group expands ecosystem with acquisition of Acqio and Octa

Ecosystem founded by Antonio Freixo controls EntrePay, Leads, Pmovil and other companies

The Entre Group, led by businessman Antonio Freixo, continues to expand its operations in the financial sector. As published by Finsiders Brasilin 2025, two new fintechs will join the company's ecosystem: Acqio, specializing in payment solutions for franchises, and Octa, created from the acquisition of Sociedade de Crédito Direto (SCD) from Credihome.

The operation to buy Acqio is still awaiting authorization from the Central Bank (BC), following a request made in July 2024. The Pernambuco fintech, which has been in partnership with EntrePay since 2023, has a presence in more than 2,000 municipalities across Brazil and is seen as an alternative for strengthening the acquiring model within the Entre ecosystem.

Credihome's SCD, in turn, is also in the process of being approved by the Central Bank. The acquisition exclusively involves the credit fintech license, while Credihome will continue to be managed by the startup Loft. Upon completion of the operation, the company will be renamed Octa and will offer services such as opening accounts, issuing cards and settling transactions via Pix and boletos. "SCD is practically a bank, it just can't leverage capital. With Octa, we will structure the Entre Group's entire banking core, while EntrePay will continue to focus on acquiring," explained Antonio Freixo to Finsiders Brasil.

Founded by Freixo in 2016, Grupo Entre has been consolidating its portfolio with acquisitions and strategic partnerships in the financial services market. Since the purchase of Global Payments Brasil's operation in 2022, the company has been accelerating its growth. In 2024, EntrePay handled R$12.8 billion, an increase of more than 60% over the previous year.

Currently, Grupo Entre's ecosystem brings together 26 companies, including Pmovil, WMoney, Leads and Asap Tech, which specializes in processing card issuers and acquirers. According to Freixo, new strategic acquisitions may take place in the coming months.
