Will Pix retire card machines or not?

Portals SpaceMoney and Diário da Manhã publish an article by EntrePay's commercial director, Anderson Santana, on the opportunities arising from the use of both payment methods

On November 1st, the Space Money portal carried an article by Anderson Santana, commercial director of EntrePay. The article, which was later published in the print and digital versions of Diário da Manhã, explains that companies operating in the card machine market see Pix as an opportunity for evolution, rather than a threat.

According to Santana, Pix has brought agility to operations, allowing instant transfers at any time of the day. For small and medium-sized companies, it represents an opportunity to optimize cash flow, by reducing the time it takes to receive payments, for example.

On the other hand, payment terminals offer payment security that is hard to ignore. By using a card machine, the merchant has the guarantee that the transaction is being processed securely and with protection against fraud.

However, the success of any new technology depends on its ability to adapt and integrate with existing tools. The fact is that card machines and Pix are not competitors, but allies in the goal of facilitating transactions.
